Masculine-Feminine Difference: How Max and Fran View and Use Power
The masculine (represented by our prototype Max) and feminine (represented by prototype Fran) ways of viewing and using power are different. The masculine form is “power over”; the feminine form is “power with” or “power through.” The masculine form arises naturally in a hierarchy where power is distributed vertically. The feminine form arises organically from a flat “network” structure in which power is shared more equally. Great (inclusive) leaders value and leverage both.
